Witness draw, sleep, meditate,
move, dream, dissolve, listen
Resonant Bodies is dedicated to fostering immersive and accessible experiences with sound. Our mission is to cultivate spaces where artists and audiences can explore deep listening and creative expression together, by removing that hierarchical frameworks within traditional performance venues.
Using sound as a modality, we are committed to exploring the intersection of resonance, embodiment, deep listening and emergence. At Resonant Bodies, by bringing together diverse musicians and listeners in serene, inclusive settings, we encourage a participatory exploration and curiosity of how sound resonates within and between bodies and environments. This process is not only about listening to music but about experiencing it as a dynamic, emergent phenomenon that can foster community, enhance personal well-being, and deepen our understanding of the arts as a living, reflective practice. We aim to remove the barriers by engaging alternate and nourishing spaces that are alcohol-free and promote safety and accessibility.
Im a musician,
can I be involved?
Resonant Bodies is always keen to hear from musicians who share our passion for collaboration, community and shared resonance.
If you are a musician and would like to chat about how you can be considered for future ensembles, please send an email to me (Kayleigh) at Kayleigh.heydon@gmail.com. Please note that my time spend on ESRB is limite and it may take some time for me to get back to you.
Please provide as much information in your email as possible, such as you instruments, your instagram or anywhere its possible to see or hear your music (this is not to ‘judge’ your music, but to enable me to better arrange ensembles for cohesion and interest). It is not nessesary, but feel free to include if you identify as LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, First Nations, CALD, Disabled or any other minority. Amplifying the diverse musical voices, and experiences within our community is at the heart of Resonant Bodies and is something I consider each time I arrange an ensemble.
